Senior Builder, Qualified Carpenter, and Apprentice Positions Available

 

Homeworx Design & Build is an established construction company with a reputation for high-quality craftsmanship and excellent customer service. We are seeking experienced and dedicated professionals to join our team in Hawke's Bay. We have openings for a Senior Builder, Qualified Carpenter, and Apprentice positions.

 

Senior Builder:

 

As a Senior Builder at Homeworx in Hawke's Bay, you will have a hands on role leading our team of builders, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met. You must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, including experience in supervising a team of builders. Relevant qualifications in building and construction will be an advantage. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

 

Qualified Carpenter:

 

As a Qualified Carpenter at Homeworx, you will be responsible for construction and installation of standing frames, trusses, and some cladding types, as well as finishing work such as door installation, shelving, and trim. You must have a relevant trade qualification and a minimum 5 years experience in the construction industry. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

 

Apprentice:

 

We are also seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice to join our team in Hawke's Bay. You will be working alongside experienced builders, gaining valuable knowledge and skills to develop your career in the construction industry. The successful candidate must have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. Some prior experience is preferred, and a genuine interest in the construction industry is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Reading and interpreting plans and specifications.

• Measuring and marking cutting lines on materials.

• Assembling and installing structures, fixtures, and fittings.

• Carrying out construction work in compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.

• Supervising and training junior staff (for Senior Builder).

 

Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications and experience for the position applied for (10 years for Senior Builder, 5 years for Qualified Carpenter).

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
